Thursdays, Sept. 25 & Oct. 2, 9, 16 & 23

5 hours of instruction

Class Times: 3:45-4:45 p.m.

Ages: 8-14 years old

Registration Deadline: September 10th

Designed for kids in grades 3-8 with existing experience in improvisational theater (whether with the Arts Hub or elsewhere), this class will help young performers advance in their ability to think on their feet creatively and dramatically. Participants will expand their repertoire of improv games while focusing especially on scene-building, mime work, imagination, and cooperation. Improvisers who have already become prepared to perform without preparation can expect to take things up a notch beyond the basics!

Instructor Andy Behrendt

Andy Behrendt has done improvisational comedy with ComedySportz Green Bay and then ComedyCity De Pere since 1996. In recent years, he has used that experience to teach improv to Waupaca High School drama students, and he also has performed with the Waupaca Community Theatre. Andy regularly uses his improv training as a local pastor and parent.

The Waupaca Community Arts Hub is a program of the Waupaca Community Arts Board (WCAB), a 501c3 non-profit organization. We’re a group of passionate volunteers dedicated to engaging the entire community in incorporating the Arts into everyday life, thereby promoting creativity, artistic expression, and community building.
