Dance is an art form that provides expression through movement. During this movement exploration, students are introduced to movement concepts to support individual choice making within improvisation and choreography skills. Through movement, each student creates and follows their imagination. Students will add new Movement Concepts into their Movement Toolbox and learn playful ways to be a Maker of Dance.

Instructor Pamela Luedtke

Pamela Luedtke has been very active in the Central Wisconsin dance community for more than 25 years and was the recipient of the Wisconsin Dance Council Career Recognition Award in 2020. She is the founder and former Director of Point Dance Ensemble (2000- 2022), a non-profit youth dance company in Stevens Point.

Pamela is a Certified Educational Kinesiology (Brain Gym©) instructor (since 2005), Pilates Instructor (2014), and Balanced Body Educator (2019). She is currently a Lecturer in Dance at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and has been part of the Dance Program since 2001.

As a professional dancer, Pamela was a soloist with the New York-based dance company The Mary Anthony Dance Company for nine years. She worked with such dance luminaries as Anna Sokolow, Bertram Ross, Agnes de Mille at American Ballet Theater, Sophie Maslow, Ernestine Stodelle, and Dance Theater Workshop choreography for youth with Ellen Robbins. Working with Ms. Robbins inspired her to pursue sharing the expansive and joyful world of Making Dances by youth.
