Caregiver & Me – Clay class (6/23)

Class Times: 3:00- 4:00 p.m.

Total Classes: 1

Ages:Ages 5+ & Caregiver 

Children 5+ must attend with an adult - both must register for the class and the adult should be ready to assist the child. 

Registration Deadline: May 20th

Never thrown pottery before?  No big deal, we are going to teach you! This special class is specifically designed for younger artists (ages 5+) to learn alongside their caregiver with simplified techniques and smaller class sizes! Come ready to get a little dirty and have a good time, we like to laugh and have a fun here! 

This is an introductory 1 hour class that will give you the chance at a potter’s wheel, while our instructor guides you through the throwing process to make your very own unique pieces. This is the place for your child to learn, we offer a welcoming learning environment for anyone and everyone! 

Class fee includes 1 project (additional pieces can be purchased for $20). We will fire the pieces of your choice, and they will be ready for pickup in about 3-4 weeks (we email as soon as they are ready). You get to decide what glaze color you would like on each piece and we will do the glazing for you.

Instructor Laura Reynolds

Laura Reynolds has a lifelong love for creativity from being the craft lady at summer and church camps to developing numerous community art projects. 

Having worked as a physical therapist for many years with special needs children, she understands the importance of meeting everyone where they are and help them develop self-esteem and confidence.  Laura incorporates this into each of her classes.

Laura is a retired physical therapist who loves to express her creativity through gardening, pottery, printmaking and weaving.
