Never thrown pottery before? No big deal, we are going to teach you! This class is for EVERYONE ages 16+.* Maybe you had a clay class in high school, or maybe you have always wanted to do this, but you did not know where to start? This is the place for you, we offer a welcoming and learning environment for anyone and everyone!
This is an introductory 2 hour class that will give you the chance at a potter’s wheel, while our instructor guides you through the process to make your very own unique piece. We will teach you the basic techniques of centering and building blocks of creating a wheel thrown piece. Come ready to get a little dirty and have a good time, we like to laugh and have a fun here!
Class fee includes 1 project (additional pieces can be purchased for $20). We will fire the pieces of your choice, and they will be ready for pickup in about 3-4 weeks (we email as soon as they are ready). You get to decide what glaze color you would like on each piece and we will do the glazing for you.
**This class is recommended for students ages 13 and up due to the class size, class length and in-depth level of instruction. For younger students, ages 5-12, check out our specially tailored “Caregiver and Me” wheel classes!
