Classes and Programs
We offer a variety of classes and programs designed to grow our students’ creativity!
Creativity comes in many forms, and we seek to offer a varied list of opportunities for children, teens, and adults in our community throughout the year.
Whether it is painting or drawing, pottery, sewing or knitting, cooking, acting, STEAM or creating digital art, our experienced instructors will guide students through these enjoyable educational programs, enriching the lives of those who take them.

Dance is an art form that provides expression through movement. During this movement exploration, students are introduced to movement concepts to support individual choice making within improvisation and choreography skills. Through movement, each student creates and follows their imagination. Students will add new Movement Concepts into their Movement Toolbox and learn playful ways to be a Maker of Dance.

Mini Maker & Me: An Art Class for Toddlers and Their Grown-Ups
Mini Maker & Me is a joyful, hands-on art class designed especially for toddlers and their caregivers. Each week, little artists explore age-appropriate materials through playful, process-based projects: painting, stamping, building, squishing, gluing, and discovering!
Caregivers join in the fun, making this a special time to connect, create, and share in your child’s curiosity. Children build confidence, fine-motor skills, and creative expression while also socializing with new friends in a relaxed, welcoming environment. After each class, participants are invited to the Create & Grow Hub, where the learning, creating, and fun continue.

Discover the building blocks of great art in this engaging art class! Students will explore the 7 Elements of Art: line, shape, form, color, value, texture, and space, through hands-on projects designed to develop creativity, problem-solving, and artistic skills.
Through observation, discussion, and creative exploration, students will experiment with a variety of art materials and techniques while creating their own unique masterpieces. This class is perfect for students who enjoy being creative, want to learn more, meet peers, and develop confidence in their artistic abilities.

This will be a fun class for all young artists. This session will focus on the elements of art through an art history lens. We'll explore cave painting, Egyptian jewelry, Impressionist masterpieces, and more.

In this hands-on clay class, young artists dive into the magical world of sculpting as they pinch, roll, build, and shape their very own clay masterpieces. Kids will explore fun techniques, experiment with tools, and discover how a simple lump of clay can become anything they dream up, from friendly creatures to functional pottery.
This class is perfect for kids who love to create, explore, and try new things. By the end, they’ll take home fired and finished pieces they’ll be excited to show off and the pride that comes from creating something from scratch.

In this engaging STEAM camp, students won’t just build, they’ll become inventors and problem-solvers. Using LEGO® robotics, they’ll design and construct their own robots, then bring them to life through simple programming to complete exciting challenges.
As they experiment, test, and improve their creations, students naturally develop critical thinking, creativity, and resilience. Working in teams, they’ll practice collaboration and communication—essential skills for success both in and out of the classroom.

In this dynamic visual arts small class, with a maximum of 6 students, young artists dive into hands-on projects that spark imagination, build confidence, and celebrate their unique interests. With this intentionally small class size, each child receives personal attention, encouragement, and guidance tailored to their skill level and creative personality.
Students explore a variety of mediums, from drawing and painting to collage and mixed media, while working on projects inspired by what they love.
Students will need to purchase their own sketchbook, drawing pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, and drawing pens. They should bring these supplies to each class and take them home afterward so they can continue practicing and exploring the techniques they learn in class. Building the habit of drawing outside of class will help students develop their skills and encourage a lifelong creative journey.
Whether your child is into animals, superheroes, nature, fashion, or abstract color play. This class empowers kids to experiment, express themselves, and grow as artists in a supportive, fun, and inspiring environment.

In this class, students will take their skills to new heights as they delve deep into digital art and sculpting, mastering intricate techniques and design using Procreate and Nomad Sculpt. Discover Asia! Join us as we journey across the eastern hemisphere and explore the rich artistic traditions of Asia. Students will create unique projects inspired by time-honored techniques, including suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling), itajime shibori (Japanese folded resist paper dyeing), and gyotaku (traditional Japanese fish printmaking).
Along the way, we'll learn about the history and cultural significance behind each art form while experimenting with color, pattern, texture, and printmaking.

Join us for a tasty cooking adventure where you’ll learn how easy (and fun!) it is to make stuffed French toast. No experience needed, just bring your curiosity and appetite! Together, we’ll measure, cut, and cook up these treats, then sit and enjoy the delicious food we’ve created.

Join us for a spooky, specialized glass fusing class at the Hub! In this session, students will learn basic candleworking, a fused glass technique; using thin strings of glass and tea lights, we’ll swirl, bend, and twist shapes perfect for cauldron steam, gnarled trees, and jack-o-lantern smiles. Students will also have the option to add hanging hardware to their piece. No experience necessary, but closed-toe shoes required.

Join us for a delicious cooking adventure as you learn how to make your own homemade calzone! We'll mix, fill, fold, and bake these tasty pockets with a variety of flavorful ingredients. Along the way, you'll practice measuring, preparing, and assembling your meal while building confidence in the kitchen. No experience is needed; just bring your curiosity and appetite! After everything is baked to perfection, we'll sit down together and enjoy the delicious calzones we've created.

Fourth through Sixth Grade must attend with an adult – Please register as one. You will be working on one pumpkin. The adult should be ready to assist the child.

Experience the excitement of creating a stunning carved pumpkin just like the ones featured at Halloween on Main! Local artist Jim Miller will guide participants through the process of transferring a design onto a pumpkin and carving it to create an eye-catching masterpiece with that signature Halloween glow.
Each participant will complete a beautifully carved pumpkin that will be displayed in Waupaca Town Square as part of Halloween on Main celebration.
Please Note: Due to the use of carving tools, this workshop is open only to participants in 4th grade and older. Be sure to follow the Arts Hub website and social media for additional Halloween-themed classes and family-friendly activities designed especially for younger children.
