We offer a variety of classes and programs designed to grow our students’ creativity!
Creativity comes in many forms, and we seek to offer a varied list of opportunities for children, teens, and adults in our community throughout the year.
Whether it is painting or drawing, pottery, sewing or knitting, cooking, acting, STEAM or creating digital art, our experienced instructors will guide students through these enjoyable educational programs, enriching the lives of those who take them.

Experience the excitement of creating a stunning carved pumpkin just like the ones featured at Halloween on Main! Local artist Jim Miller will guide participants through the process of transferring a design onto a pumpkin and carving it to create an eye-catching masterpiece with that signature Halloween glow.
Each participant will complete a beautifully carved pumpkin that will be displayed in Waupaca Town Square as part of Halloween on Main celebration.
Please Note: Due to the use of carving tools, this workshop is open only to participants in 4th grade and older. Be sure to follow the Arts Hub website and social media for additional Halloween-themed classes and family-friendly activities designed especially for younger children.

Create, connect, and make something special together! Participants of all ages will learn the fun technique of sgraffito, decorating clay by carving through layers of color to reveal a unique design.
Create beautiful ornaments to keep, share, or give as gifts. No experience necessary, just bring your creativity and enjoy making memories together!
Class fee includes: clay (enough to make 3-4 ornaments), glazing, and firing. Your finished pieces will be ready for pickup in approximately 2-3 weeks, just in time for the Holidays and gift-giving. We’ll email you when your pieces are ready!

In this hands-on clay class, young artists dive into the magical world of sculpting as they pinch, roll, build, and shape their very own clay masterpieces. Kids will explore fun techniques, experiment with tools, and discover how a simple lump of clay can become anything they dream up, from friendly creatures to functional pottery.
This class is perfect for kids who love to create, explore, and try new things. By the end, they’ll take home fired and finished pieces they’ll be excited to show off, and the pride that comes from creating something from scratch. Great opportunity for unique one-of-a-kind gifts for the holidays!

In this engaging STEAM camp, students won’t just build, they’ll become inventors and problem-solvers. Using LEGO® robotics, they’ll design and construct their own robots, then bring them to life through simple programming to complete exciting challenges.
As they experiment, test, and improve their creations, students naturally develop critical thinking, creativity, and resilience. Working in teams, they’ll practice collaboration and communication—essential skills for success both in and out of the classroom.

Perfect for beginners and returning students! In this wheel-throwing class, you’ll learn how to center clay, build bowls and mugs, and add volume to your forms. We’ll also cover trimming, glazing, and what happens during the firing process. 5 open studio hours are included with the class to work on your skills on your own. Have some experience already? Feel free to use this as open studio time and get tips from the instructor as needed. All supplies included.

In this dynamic visual arts small class, with a maximum of 6 students, young artists dive into hands-on projects that spark imagination, build confidence, and celebrate their unique interests. With this intentionally small class size, each child receives personal attention, encouragement, and guidance tailored to their skill level and creative personality.
Students explore a variety of mediums, from drawing and painting to collage and mixed media, while working on projects inspired by what they love.
Students will need to purchase their own sketchbook, drawing pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, and drawing pens. They should bring these supplies to each class and take them home afterward so they can continue practicing and exploring the techniques they learn in class. Building the habit of drawing outside of class will help students develop their skills and encourage a lifelong creative journey.
Whether your child is into animals, superheroes, nature, fashion, or abstract color play. This class empowers kids to experiment, express themselves, and grow as artists in a supportive, fun, and inspiring environment.

NATURE AS INSPIRATION…EXPLORING ABSTRACTION WITH ACRYLICS ON CANVAS
Using Nature as our inspiration, we will open up possibilities for a freer expression without the demand for precision drawing. We will use Nature as our guide while learning the principles of design and color. You will also learn the tricks of the trade for color mixing with acrylic paint. Be prepared to have FUN!!

Brainstorm, plan, problem-solve, and create! In this hands-on class, students will take a deep dive into the creative process by focusing on one project from start to finish. They’ll learn how to turn an idea into a plan, experiment with materials, make creative decisions, and work through challenges along the way.
Throughout the session, students will practice brainstorming, critical thinking, creative problem-solving, and craftsmanship while creating their own unique landscape diorama. There’s no single right way to create. Students will have the freedom to explore their ideas and make their project truly their own.

Create Your Own Clay Pumpkins!
Interested in working with clay? This is a great introductory class for all skill levels!
In this one-session class, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building with clay, including creating slabs, adding texture, and attaching pieces. Our instructor will guide you through the process as you create two unique pumpkins. Perfect for decorating your home this fall!
Come ready to get a little dirty, have some fun, and enjoy plenty of laughs. We love creating in a relaxed and welcoming environment!
